Smokey Row Coffee Company is an Iowa-based coffee shop chain headquartered in Pleasantville, Iowa. Unlike larger grab-and-go coffee mega-chains such as Starbucks and Caribou Coffee, Smokey Row Coffee Company prides itself in being a cozy community gathering spot where people are welcome to slow down and relax for a while. My creative partner, one of the copywriting students at Brainco, made an ad lob for this campaign with a picture of a man in his bathrobe and a headline that read “make yourself at home, just don’t forget you’re in public.” I thought it was funny, so I took that idea and ran with it for the art direction of this campaign.

For this campaign I updated the logo to give the brand a refresh while still trying to keep that cozy and inviting vibe. I am particularly proud of how this pattern I made for the campaign-themed merch turned out!

AI use: The patterns featured on the pajamas mock up, the throw blanket mock up, and the pillow mock up contain a custom-made logo that I made myself and an AI-generated teddy bear vector graphic that I generated in Midjouney and cleaned up in Illustrator. The hat and teddy bear are both AI-generated images that I cleaned up and added the logo to in Photoshop.
